Practice the Wim Hof Method breath-work and focus in this one hour session delivered by Scott Riley of Causeway Living, trained by The Iceman (Wim Hof) himself!
Wim holds 21 Guiness World Records, ran barefoot marathons above the arctic circle and in the desert without water, crediting his method of
breath and focus.
Get an introduction and overview of the method as a tool to strengthen 'vagal tone', the body's ability to switch from 'fight or flight' state to 'rest and digest'.
Take a guided meditation through the body, leading to the sensation of the breath. Follow simple instructions to become more mindful of breathing mechanics.
A deep breath. Ten Deep Breaths. Lift off. Thirty Deep Breaths. Hold on the final Exhalation. Breath in when you feel the urge and hold that for 10-15 secs. Repeat.
A few minutes of silent meditation before a guided meditation back to the room with a short chance to share any experiences and cover a few questions.
Even for those experienced in practice of the Wim Hof Method; the group setting, guidance of a certified instructor and audio is something totally unique.
The session is followed by the Causeway Living 'Dash & Splash' event 30 minutes after class, allowing you to put all that you learn to the test in the cold Irish Sea.
Wear something comfortable (if you're joining Dash & Splash, running gear is fine) and avoid wearing any strong-smelling perfumes or scented oils.
If you have any major heart/health conditions please consult a physician before attending. If you are pregnant or have epilepsy you cannot attend class.
