We’re taking the Duke of Yorks and Dukes at Komedia outdoors to the gorgeous setting of the Gun Garden at Lewes Castle for a series of outdoor screenings courtesy of the San Miguel Picturehouse Pop-Up.
Saturday 24 June
THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL (15)
Boasting a typically starry cast, the most
recent film from writer-director Anderson (Moonrise Kingdom) centres on the titular hotel, its savvy concierge (Fiennes), his lobby boy, and their frantic adventures following the bequest of a priceless painting. Glorious fun.
Arrive early to enjoy the last of the evening sun with something special from our pop-up bar.
Doors open at 7.00pm. Screenings will take place around 9.15pm OR as soon as it becomes dark. You are invited to arrive early, relax and enjoy a drink in the surroundings.
The screenings take place in the open, with a limited number of deckchairs available on a first come first served basis.
We will also have cardboard ‘bumbox’ seating available for sale but feel free to bring along small picnic chairs – however these must be placed towards the rear of the cinema area.
This is a licensed event, so we cannot accept any alcohol brought in from outside, however a bar will be open for beer and wine sales. You are welcome to bring a picnic!
