Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Will Sharp is a doctor working in the Royal Navy. In addition to completing his GP training in Sussex, he has completed several military deployments, most notably as part of OP LITTEN, where he led a small medical team in the rescue of thousands of migrants from the Mediterranean.
He has recently been appointed an MBE for his contribution to this mission. He will be speaking under the title 'The Challenges of Maritime Medical Care in the Royal Navy', focusing on humanitarian rescue operations in the Mediterranean.
In addition to the talk, there will also be a careers officer from the Royal Navy present to speak to students and offer careers advice.
