❄️One of the biggest events in the University polo calendar- SUPA Winter Nationals!❄️
SUPA offers students the opportunity to compete in the largest polo tournament in the world. There are five main categories, allowing everyone to get involved. They consist of:
Beginner- for those who have just started
polo this academic year. If you have even had one polo lesson before September 2017 you must play novice.
Novice- for those players with a grass -2 handicap or players who are yet to play club polo
Lower intermediate- maximum handicap of a -1 on grass
Upper intermediate- maximum team grass handicap of 3
Open- for those teams with a total handicap of over 3
Beginner and Novice categories are split into different sections based on ability.
There is also the opportunity for alumni to play in the SAPA competition. This is divided by ability, so you don’t have to be a two goaler to get involved! Even if it has been a while since you’ve played, book some lessons and get back to playing. The costs for alumni are really reasonable and a lot cheaper than club tournaments.
