On behalf of both The Scottish 37 Group and SRPS Railtours, I would like to confirm the use of 37025 on SRPS Routes and Branches tours on the 1 & 2 June and also to provide more information on this tour.
This is what is currently published on the SRPS website
Friday 1 June : Overnight Routes
& Branches (86/87 top-and-tailed with 37 025 with 37703 to Manuel)
Bo'ness - Manuel – Linlithgow(pu) - Edinburgh Waverley(pu) - Glasgow Queen Street(pu) - Ayr - Ardrossan Harbour - Largs - Maxwell Park - Larkhall - Balloch - Helensburgh Central - Edinburgh Waverley.
Saturday 2 June : Routes & Branches (37025 top and tailed with 86/87 to Millerhill, 73/9 onwards)
Edinburgh Waverley(pu) – North Berwick – Millerhill - Edinburgh Waverley - Leith Docks - Inverkeithing North Curve - Alloa – Stirling – Cumbernauld – Kelvindale – Clydebank Junction – Glasgow Queen Street Low Level(sd).
Saturday 2 June : Neilston or Bust (Optional add on for a small supplement for those who have booked the full tour only – 37025 top and tailed with 73/9 to Mossend up reception and TBC from Glasgow Central to Neilston)
Glasgow Queen Street (LL) – Whifflet South Junction – Mossend Up Reception – Glasgow Central - Neilston – Kings Park – Motherwell – Polmont(sd) – Manuel – Bo'ness.
Route is subject to the normal caveats.
37025 will be at the Standard class end of the train throughout.
It is intended that both 86/87 and 37025 will have a go of climbing out of Glasgow Queen Street up Cowlairs Bank.
Its hoped that there will be an optional meal service will be available to all, working on the full details with our catering manager.
As we have a very hard limit of 2 engines and 4 coaches for this section, its intended that Neilston or Bust section would only be available to those partaking on the full tour and is likely to be standard class seating only which means those in first class for the rest of the tour need to move to standard between Mossend-Neilston-Mossend.
I am hoping we will be able to open up bookings on the SRPS Railtours site for this soon and publish more details soon.
