Organised as a partnership between South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge Sports Lakes Trust, Parklife is a fun free family event allowing visitors to explore a variety of ways to improve their health and well-being and the opportunity to try a range of sports.
Including Cycling Zone, offering
a myriad of bikes to try out, from multi-person, recumbent, balance and all-ability bikes in addition to the popular pedal-powered Scalextric, Cycle Sprints & Smoothie Makers.
Water Zone featuring Kayaking, Canoeing and Paddleboarding plus the chance to try your hand at angling too. The qualified instructors can take visitors through these water sports allowing them to quickly take to the water and have fun on the lake.
Back by popular demand is the Wild South Cambs Zone, where our visitors can get hands on, with den building, fire-lighting and pond dipping.
All new for 2018 will be a mobile caving system, as well as the old favourite's Archery, Climbing Walls, & Inflatable Zorbs.
There’ll be entertainment too, with live music, dancing and lots of opportunities to join in.
In addition there will be a range of refreshments for you to enjoy, a Vintage Tea Tent and plenty of space for you to picnic.
All activities are free of charge, you just need to turn up to take a turn. However, bookings for paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking, can be either made on the day, or booked in advance as nearer the time we will be making some sessions available for pre-booking.
