New Year's Day Dook

The temperatures have dropped and I know what you're thinking: "Where can I submerge myself in an ice-cold body of water on New Year's Day?" Well you're in luck! Come and join us in Broughty Ferry for a day of fun featuring Entertainment, a Fancy Dress Parade and of course, the Dook itself! Entry for

the Dook is £15 per person or £10 when part of a team (rules apply). For more information on how to enter, please see the website. This year's main sponsor is John James Roofing - a local, family run business specialising in small roof repairs.

The run down of events for the day is as follows:

11:00am: Arrival Music by Bruce Whamond
12:00pm: Horn's Carnival Start
13:00pm: Christening/Naming of two new YeAABA boats
13:30pm: Fancy Dress Parade/Competition - Adults and children (No 'Man-kinis' please!)
13:45pm: Welcome from YeAABA President, Dook Sponsor Steve James of John James Roofing and Lord Provost Cllr
13:45pm: Pipes and Drums of the 44th Boy's Brigade
14:00pm: Dook Start via Hooter
16:00pm: New Year's Day Raffle Draw at the Fort Hotel, Fort Street, Broughty Ferry. All Welcome.
