Frog & Henry, along with founding member Ewan Bleach on vocals and clarinet, visit us from New Orleans, Canada, and Belgium. They've arranged and play ragtime & early dance tunes from around the world, and jazz standards for foot-operated tuba, banjos, and reeds. It's the only place you'll see one man
play banjo and tuba simultaneously beside someone playing piano with one hand and clarinet with the other - and a foot-washboard thrown in.
Ewan Bleach originally from Oxford is a clarinetist, saxophonist, pianist and singer specialising in 1920s and 30s jazz and blues. He regularly visits New Orleans for inspiration and has a large repertoire of rare old songs, from artist such as Billie Holiday, Al Bowlly, Bessie Smith and Jimmie Rodgers, from the rough raggy blues songs of the twenties to the rich luscious ballads of the early 40s.
