Lone x Congi x Geiom at Rough Trade Nottingham

In the wake of a legendary night last year we are bringing an even stronger line-up to Rough Trade Nottingham. Featuring local heavyweights LONE, Congi and Geiom for a stripped down, back to basics night. Audio Powered by a Funkion 1 Sound System plus live visuals from AVVA Studio.

FRIDAY 30TH MARCH

- 10:00PM - 3:00AM

LONE

This man needs no introduction. From his early boom-bap days as Kids in Tracksuits, through to the lush over-saturated sounds of Lemuria and on to his more recent forays into a more immediate, higher BPM, Jungle inspired sound. Lone has transcended his Nottingham foundation to achieve global acclaim.
After a string of classics released on R&S Records and Magicwire, a DJ Kicks Compilation and an upcoming Radio 1 Essential mix, we are happy to bring Lone back to Nottingham for a strictly one off Jungle set. Don’t miss him mixing 175BPM stompers.

Congi

Congi blew us away last year with their Jazz infused sub-bass mellowness. Whilst their sets meander gently across the more left-field regions of bass music, they aren’t scared of dropping the odd stomper and are no strangers to tearing a dancefloor up. Tipped by Giles Peterson’s Future Bubblers project as one of the cities most forward thinking acts, this year has seen them push their productions, and their sets, into more forward thinking, expansive territory. A move that has a brought them attention from a sting of quality labels, including Chord Marauders, Mimm Store and Future Bubblers. We are happy to have them back for more of their bass driven eclectic soundscapes.

Geiom

Before Dub Step became associated with Vulgar, testosterone driven aggravation, Legends like Nottingham’s Geiom were working under its banner producing meditative half-step compositions that paired weighty basslines with intricately arranged samples to create atmospheric floor fillers. A heavyweight in the early stages of Nottinghams Bass scene, Geiom has continuously championed the sound through his own label Berkane Sol and through a string of releases on leading labels such as DEEP MEDi, Planet Mu (OFFICIAL), Tempa and more. He’s a rare feature on the Nottingham scene, so don’t miss out.
