A fundraising night for Ellie, 14 years old, from County Durham so she can have specialist treatment in London.
Ellie has Type 3 EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndromes) which has caused her gastrointestinal problems, including gastropaeresis so she has to be fed via a tube straight into her bowel for 20 hours
everyday! She also has GERD (gastro oesophageal reflux disease), she has MCD (mast cell disorder), and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).
She also has cognitive verbal memory deficit meaning she cannot recall much verbal instructions/information - this is where she excels in learning dance as it’s visual, and she is part of the XSalsa Youth Team with her sister Jessica and friend Caitlyn.
The XSalsa Youth Team will be doing a special performance especially for you on the night.
Dancing starts at 7.30pm so get here early to make the most of your night. Then it’s dancing all the way till 11pm with a good mix of old and new salsa, bachata and kizomba songs .... and the odd cha cha, merengue and fun line-up thrown in.
The event is being held in 'Goals' Function Room in the grounds of the Bede Centre, Durham Road, Sunderland. POSTCODE SR3 4AG:-
