The FOR will be holding the very popular Bake off competition on Monday 26th February.
Participants will need to drop cakes off in the morning during drop-off to the lower hall via the entrance
in the Junior playground. All cakes to be submitted by 9.00am.
There is no theme, you may decorate the cake
entirely how you would like, so use your imagination and
skills to create your own masterpiece!
Please clearly label your cake board with your name, class and type of cake e.g. Chocolate and Ginger.
Also provide the ingredients used with your cake on a separate piece of paper. Remember that Raglan is
a nut free school, so please do not use nuts in your ingredients. We also ask you not to include alcohol.
There is no charge to enter, but all entrants must be willing to donate their cake for the cake sale. All
cakes will automatically be entered into the competition and will be cut for judging and made available
to purchase after school.
Cakes will be judged in 5 groups:
- Nursery and Reception
- Year 1 and 2
- Year 3 and 4
- Year 5 and 6
- Adults (parents, carers and staff)
The cakes will be judged on both decoration and taste and we will be looking for the most creative cakes
and delicious flavours.
There will be a ‘Star Baker’ in each category, who will receive a Star Baker Spoon and certificate. Winners
will be announced during the afternoon on the day of the Bake Off.
The Cake Sale
All cakes entered will be made available to purchase in the cake sale. Cakes will be available to purchase
from 3.20pm on Monday 26th February in the middle hall, to take home for dessert or to stay and enjoy
with friends at school.
All proceeds will be put towards the purchase of new equipment/items required by the school. Please
support the day by either entering a cake or by coming to purchase some delicious cake after school.
