This day is aimed at developing technique for steeper terrain and learning about what competitive freeride skiing is all about. The session is open to female skiers, age 13 minimum and all ages above. Come along and learn alongside some likeminded ladies in a fun and friendly environment with a female
Amy Marwick will be your coach for the day. She is a BASI L4 qualified instructor, freeride competitor and skier for Black Crows, Scarpa and Panda Optics.
Minimum pre requisites:
You are a confident parallel red run skier, keen to develop performance on steeper terrain, bumps and different snow conditions.
Pay on the day: £20
We will meet in the base station cafe at 8:45am for a chat and a hot chocolate. Please bring a packed lunch. If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch, Amy will be pleased to answer any queries about the day.
We will take a maximum of 10 skiers so please book and confirm with Amy that you will be attending.

If the weather is adverse we will still run the day based at the Glencoe cafe at base station. We will cover the following theory and run around outside for a bit with our beacons, all of which is extremely valuable learning for budding freeriders:
- Transceiver training
- Snow and Avalanche awareness
- Navigation and route planning
- Freeride competition- what's it all about and tactics
