Gaz Brookfield w/ Jake Martin + Raze*Rebuild

Swindon's biggest recent musical export is back for a hometown solo show! And he is bringing his mate Jake Martin with him!

Since winning Acoustic magazine's 2010 Singer Songwriter of the year, Gaz has spent his time on the road, touring the UK and Europe. In this time he has shared the

stage with the likes of The Levellers, New Model Army, Seth Lakeman, Frank Turner, The Wonder Stuff, Newton Faulkner and many more.

Gaz remains the only unsigned solo artist to sell out The Fleece, Bristol. A feat he has now achieved five times, the last three selling out over six months in advance.

This has made Gaz's annual Christmas shindig gig an unmissable tradition for his fans. In December 2017 Gaz took the decision to move up a venue size, to The Bierkeller, Bristol (750 cap.) and even this gig sold out 2 months in advance.

Often playing as many as 200 gigs a year, Gaz's relentless tour schedule takes him to every corner of the country and beyond. Upon the release of his latest studio album "I Know My Place", the subsequent tour sold out at nearly every venue, across the country.

A festival favourite, Gaz has played at over a hundred UK music festivals in the last few years, including Glastonbury, Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory, Boomtown and many more.

All of this has proudly been achieved without the aid of a manager, an agent, a record company or any press.

His latest studio album I Know My Place is out now, available on CD, limited edition 12" Vinyl and digitally from Bandcamp. All of Gaz's previous albums are available digitally on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon and many other digital outlets.

Since launching his solo career a few years ago, Jake Martin has propelled his music to audiences internationally, with extensive tours in Australia, the UK, America and Europe. Jake's popularity and commitment inspired a permanently nomadic lifestyle, allowing him to tour relentlessly; racking up over 200 shows in the past 18 months, and booking 19 festivals in his first season.

Jake's sound is a distinctively energetic and engaging blend of brash acoustic punk, and melodic indie folk. He intelligently blends tales of life, love, and the road, with dark satire, politics, and his own cheeky brand of cider fuelled humour. Add Jake's witty ability to captivate and animate any room of strangers, his memorable sing along anthems, and the occasional bit of furniture climbing, and the result is an electrifying “every show like it’s the last” performance.

2018 is promising to be Jake's most successful year yet, with the release of his much awaited second EP, "1555 Syllables That Mean Everything" due in April, and already more tours, and bigger festival slots confirmed.

Normally seen as a raucous 4 piece band, Swindon outfir Raze*Rebuild bust out the acoustic guitars to play as a stripped back duo to open this show. They are a band whose rock, punk, folk, indie and country influences are worn on their sleeves via well-crafted, heartfelt tunes, with big choruses and catchy hooks.
