Are you curious to learn about mindfulness? It’s a skill that we all have, but few develop. Mindfulness can help improve focus and concentration; help us to be aware of what’s happening in our minds and bodies; to become less reactive to situations outside of our control; and to become kinder and more
compassionate towards those in our daily life. It has also been shown to help those with anxiety, depression, stress, and chronic pain.
The Mindfulness Based Living Course, or MBCL, is an in-depth weekly mindfulness course consisting of eight classes, each two hours long, preceded by a free / no obligation introductory class before the eight week course begins and concluded by a follow up class after the eight week course ends. An optional day of mindfulness practice is also included in the second half of the course. The course can be truely transformative - please take a look at some of the reviews on this page of people who have recently attended my classes.
I am offering a FREE taster class to anyone who thinks they may be interested in the course on WEDNESDAY 24th JANUARY 12.30-2.30pm, to be held at YOGALIFE, Total Fitness, Handforth Bypass, Wilmslow, SK9 3PE. If you would like to attend this free class, please click on 'going' so that I am aware of numbers. Coming to the taster class places you under no obligation to attend the full course - it is just meant to give you a flavour of what the classes are all about and to give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you might have.
If you are then interested in signing up for the full MBLC course, the sessions will be run at the same time (12.30pm-2.30pm) and venue, from Wednesday 31st January until Wednesday 21st March, with a final follow up class after Easter.
The course is run in a small group (typically between 8-15 people), and includes 25 hours of teaching in total. The cost of the course is £250, payable in 1 or 2 instalments.
Please note that if you cannot attend the Wednesday afternoon sessions but are still interested in the course, I am considering also running an evening-based class from my home in Woodford, possibly on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening between 7-9pm, again for 8 weeks. If you would be interested in this option, please let me know via the email address below – if there is enough interest (minimum 5 people) it will go ahead.
I have trained to teach the MBLC with The Mindfulness Asoociation, and I follow the UK Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness Teachers. I am fully insured to teach mindfulness classes.
If you would like any more information about the MBLC, please take a look at www.themindfulsmilecompany.co.uk. You can also contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to talk through any details about the taster class, the full course, and whether it would be appropriate for you.
Thank you so much in advance, and I look forward to seeing you at the taster class! Ellie
