The biggest(?) beach clean in Eastbourne will take place on the weekend of 24th/25th March. We will be collaborating with a range of other local community groups to help clean the entire stretch of beach on Eastbourne's seafront. Our group will collaborate with our friends in Eastbourne Greenpeace to
clean the stretch of beach between the Lifeboat Museum and the pier.
This will, hopefully, be part of getting Eastbourne the award of "Plastic Free Eastbourne". Everyone is invited and this event will be 'opened' by our Mayor. Marine Conservation Society, Surfers Against Sewage, Sea Shepherd, Mucky Mermaids, and Survival Equals Action are amongst the other community groups involved, who will be cleaning the beaches either side of our allocated patch.
You can work on any stretch of beach you like, with any of the other groups involved, but if you wish to work with us on our stretch, please gather at the Lifeboat Museum at 10am and look for those of us wearing Friends of the Earth or Greenpeace t-shirts.
