Chinese New Year is fast approaching, and Manchester has plenty of celebrations planned for 2018.
Manchester has one of the oldest and largest Chinese communities in the UK, with a fabulous corner of the city dedicated to Chinese culture and food.
In the two weeks in run up to Chinese New Year, thousands
of red lanterns will light up the retail district into Albert Square and Chinatown.
Chinese food market will pop up in St Ann's Square, while the giant golden dragon will return to its perch for the weekend.
Over 60 stalls offering a variety of arts and crafts, goods, and a mouthwatering variety of delicious food in Albert Sq and Chinatown from 11am to 5pm.
Chinese craft workshops will take place for the whole family, run by the Confucius Institute and Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art.
