In September 2017 my beautiful daughters life changed forever. She was diagnosed with a dreadful illness called Anorexia Nervosa and a secondary condition of Acute Separation Anxiety.
We struggled as a family to find the right help, understand the illness and learn which route to take for the best.
have, however come a very, very long way over the last 8 months and Charlotte has been through an unimaginable battle and journey.
We have many people to thank for helping her on the long road to recovery and we would love to give something back to those that provided Charlotte with the support, therapy, positive eating, group reflection, schooling, strength and taught her how to eat again.
Charlotte has already raised over £900 for the STARS appeal for Sarum Children’s Ward at Salisbury Hospital, who provided life saving care for her at the lowest part of our journey in some of her darkest days but for those of you that know my daughter will know she is not content with just helping them.....
Mental Health and in particular Eating Disorders are hugely under funded and we personally saw what devastating affects this can have on young people and their families. Charlotte was, thank god, provided with a bed at a fantastic Psychiatric Hospital called Leigh House, in Winchester. They help treat an array of mental health issues for children aged between 12 - 18. Its this awesome facility that Charlotte would love to help.....so here we are with her idea.....
