Controversial Ragga Hip Hop act Babylon Dead bring drama to a night of sun soaked Reggae and funkified Hip Hop.

Forward-thinking Ragga Hip Hop
This heavy hitting Ragga Hip Hop duo are setting themselves
up as the figureheads for a new musical movement; one that is very necessary as anger towards the establishment boils up worldwide. Although the name Babylon Dead might not be familiar, the players certainly will be. Comprised of two of the most respected artists to emerge from the UK Hip Hop circuit over the past decade, their already impressive individual bodies of work should be more than enough proof that Babylon Dead will only be bringing Grade A dope to the mix.
On the mic we have Jman, who has spent the past few years earning a reputation for being able to destroy any riddim that gets thrown his way. From grime and hip hop, to DnB and ragga, dexterous is an understatement. Behind the boards, you will find Illinformed. Arguably one of the best producers working in the UK right now

Funkified live Hip Hop
Granville Sessions are a live 8 piece Hip Hop band out of London. The band integrate traditional sample based production with the backing of a live band. They have shared the stage with the likes of Oddisee, Congo Natty, Pharoahe Monch, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5) and Necro. They were most recently included in Time Out's "Five London hip hop acts you need to know about right now.."
Reggae with Folk & Soul
“...super special. As soon as I heard it I thought 'yeah, getting that on the show!'...”
— David Rodigan MBE
ZAIA are a British Reggae band with a Soul, Folk and Rock twist. Their unique fusion of deep, danceable, dub-wise rhythms and soulful vocal stylings has garnered support from heavy weights such as David Rodigan MBE and has received critical acclaim far and wide. Inspired by the likes of Bob Marley & The Wailers, Amy Winehouse and Etta James – along with a generous sprinkling of Celtic folk, Rock, Gospel and even Drum & Bass – the band's sun-kissed groove and high-energy live show is guaranteed to stir your soul and move the most reluctant of feet! ZAIA's first full length album was released in May 2017 and includes the tracks "Dark Days", "Fire in My Heart" and "Under the Tree" which have all been featured on Rodigan's BBC Radio 1Xtra show.
