We invite you to come and celebrate the launch of our album, ‘Twice’ with us on Saturday the 7th of April at ‘Artsmill’, Hebden Bridge! It will be a cosy and relaxing evening of original music, poetry, artwork and photography.
6:30 pm - the Artsmill lounge and café will open so people can browse our
exhibition, get comfortable, drink and chat as they please before the performances start.
7:30 pm - a selection of poets will share their recitals of the song lyrics as well as some of their other work.
8:30 pm - we will play you some songs from our new album, followed by a break.
10:00 pm - we will play a second set of music.
Please bring your own wine/beer and... cushions! (there will of course be chairs for those who need them). The café will be open serving tea and coffee, but please feel free to bring something less soft to drink. While we play we want everyone to feel relaxed and at home, like we do when we practice. We're hoping to put loads of cushions down on the floor for an intimate atmosphere, but we don't have quite enough cushions between us so please bring one or two if you can.
The exhibition on the night will be a collection of specially commissioned illustrations and photographs, presented as high quality giclée prints. The pieces are the artists’ personal interpretations of the feeling or meaning of the songs.
As an alternative to plastic CDs, we are creating ethically sourced, hand-bound lyric books featuring the illustrations described above. We want to share our music with everyone - the books will contain download codes for the 9 songs, but we will also offer the full album download to anyone who purchases an item. The items start at £5 for a handwritten thank you postcard, and there are also prints, live performances and of course the book available too. See our Indiegogo for details / to pre-order:
We are really looking forward to sharing all this with you!
