Active Warriors must start somewhere. So, we are pleased to present our young recruit’s section of the Warrior race. After all, why should adults have all the fun.
We have three options for you to choose from:
Mini Course (4 – 11 year olds)
Our young recruits can test their skills on our mini course,
which is around 1.5km long and contains 15 obstacles. Young recruits will get to climb walls, scramble under cargo nets, leap hurdles, crawl through tunnels, swing on monkey bars and get a bit muddy and wet on their own slide.
4-7 year old’s must be accompanied around the course by a grown up. We ask parents to move alongside & step in and help young recruits over obstacles if they need it, but to stay clear if they don’t so the course is clear for other participants. 8-11 year olds will get to run the course on .
The course is about the challenge so there’s no pressure to speed around or to complete the obstacles – we want young recruits to grow in confidence from their experience, work together to face the challenge.
Race waves are:
10:00 4-5 year olds
10:30 6-7 year olds
11:00 8-9 year olds
11:40 10-11 year olds
12:20 open wave
13:00 open wave
Entry is £15 per child although you can take advantage of the advanced booking prices. Simply select a wave time that works for you and if any of the times clash then try one of the open waves although numbers will be restricted.
All young recruits will get their faces striped up, earn their very own medal and a certificate of completion. The kids course will be located next to the event village and will be approximately 1.5k long.
Teen Recruits (12 – 15 year olds)
Teenagers can take on the full might of the main course and tackle all of the obstacles. A dedicated teen recruit wave, suitable for 12 – 15 year olds, will start at 13:00. Entry is £30 per teen although you can take advantage of the advanced booking prices. All teen recruits will get their faces striped up, earn their very own medal and recruits in this wave will also be given a timing chip.
This wave is for those parents who want to run the course with their child. This wave must be run as a team of two and children can be aged 8 - 15 years old. Last wave of the day the family wave will start at 13:30. Entry is £60 per team of two although you can take advantage of the advanced booking prices. All warriors will get their faces striped up, earn their very own medal and young recruits will receive a certificate of completion. Recruits in this wave will also be given a timing chip.
