A FOREST festival to celebrate the summer solstice is a new event being produced by the people behind the award-winning Cloudspotting Festival.
Saturday, June 23rd – the closest weekend date to this year’s longest day – has been set for the festival, entitled ‘A Break in the Clouds.’
line-up will be headlined by high-flying Lancaster band The Lovely Eggs. Other bands to feature are psych-fusion group Flamingods, world music outfit Kabantu and the highly regarded new folk talent Jim Ghedi. Local band Good Foxy, from Clitheroe and Mr Ben and the Bens, also from Lancaster, complete a mouth-watering main stage programme. Music and arts programming with a family vibe will feature on two live stages and throughout the forest.
Weekend tickets include camping for the nights of Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd June with a "late check-out" of 4pm on Sunday 25th so you can really explore the beautiful surroundings of Gisburn forest. This is a stripped down version of Cloudspotting, more intimate with it's surroundings and basic with it's facilities so you can connect more with the outstanding landscape.
