2 Sick Monkeys, Eastfield, The Lab Rats

Forget Xmas and Black Eye Friday... We're sooo excited to be bringing you Red Eye Thursday - The Night of the Living Dead with 2 SICK MONKEYS, EASTFIELD and THE LAB RATS.

This will be the awesome 2 SICK MONKEYS first and last visit to The Yorkie. They only have three more dates, after Lancaster, with

gigs in Leeds and Manchester before a final show at a venue yet to be announced! This could be your last chance to see them live! 2 SICK MONKEYS are widely renowned as one of the hardest working and most respected bands on the DIY punk scene with well over 900 gigs and 10 European tours under their belts. Punk rock drum and bass - small outfit... BIG SOUND!! 2 SICK MONKEYS are just too good to be missed!!

"From note one till the last humm of the amps they grab you and force you to pay attention. A sound that’s best described as in your face bad ass punk. After 30 years in the scene it is very rare for a band to come along that grabs me and makes me stand up and take notice, not for lack of great bands, but for the lack of extraordinary bands, and it’s just 2 guys with drums and bass" (Punk House Press)

In support will be EASTFIELD and THE LAB RATS, two bands who always go down a storm in these parts! No strangers to The Yorkie EASTFIELD are known and loved for their catchy three chord Urban Rail Punk, sing along choruses and a love of trains! They never fail to get the Yorkie smiling and moving!!

Folk punk two piece from Manchester, THE LAB RATS, are welcomed back to Lancaster with open arms. Mixing acoustic guitar riffs with mandolin and a beautiful vocal delivery from lead singer, Molly Tov, they cover a range of issues from dealing with mental illness to the death of a pet; from animal rights to a heartfelt desire to fight for a better humanity. They have played gigs up and down the country and are busy on the festival circuit with appearances at 0161, Dirty Weekend, Common Ground, Beautiful Days and the Manchester Punk Festival. Moving and inspirational - they never dissapoint!

£5:00 on the door. (£2:50 under 18s)
